Just dropping a belated note about one of your products I installed at Easter. My parents live in Geraldton in W.A. & for 18 years. They have been suffering from terrible itching after they had showered. For years after (they) ever showered, they covered themselves in Sorbolene to control the itching.

Since I have installed the Digital Water Conditioner they no longer use Sorbolene. My mother says she is using less detergent in the washing machine, that the detergent is actually in the water not frothing on top as people in hard water areas know only too well. The tiles in the shower now require less scrubbing & mould is virtually non existent.

She has 3 rose bushes that have gone mad.

Three weeks ago we purchased a CALCLEAR and I would like to let you know how it is performing. Before we put the unit in we had severe iron staining in the toilet bowl, now it is totally cleared itself – the toilet actually beads down the toilet after flushing.

We also used to  have a lot of algae in the stock troughs – now they are crystal clear. Also it is quite obvious that the irrigated paddocks are a lot wetter and they stay wetter longer. I have already backed the sprinkler times back from 1 hour to 50 minutes each night so far.

We’ve been selling CALCLEAR for nine years in the Tamworth region and have seen amazing results .

As the drought has taken hold in our area, ground water is getting more concentrated in minerals. More  people are using ground water throughout their homes and are looking for a cost effective treatment, one that doesn’t use harsh or dangerous chemicals.

On the farms in the area there also has been great results. Poultry farms have used CALCLEAR to keep their bell drinkers clean (eliminating costly and dangerous acid dipping ) saving money on labour and chemicals , protecting evaporative batts etc…….

It sure works quickly….. 

Robbie – Hi, installed the unit as soon as we received it, and have handed out many brochures to people around us.

The first night both toilet water cisterns started leaking, and upon inspection, the valve washers had calcium particles right thru them. It sure works quickly!

Laraine has noticed a big difference in the hairdressing salon, hair is softer, and in some cases she has had to review the protocol of some customers to suit the softer water.

Our shower screen (which we wipe every morning) is so much easier to wipe, ( we still do it) and we can see the water running down the glass in globules instead of a flat sheet.

We understand that it may take a couple of months to get rid of the deposited calcium from the HWS and pipes, but we are amazed at the changes that are slowly (and quickly) occurring.

Basically we are very happy with the CALCLEAR. We used a water softener before (name supplied) which was not worth a pinch of “p—” ! It may have helped soap up, but it didn’t take any scale away. We also used a (name supplied) magnet – that made no difference whatsoever.

After the Calclear we noticed a lot of differences around our place!

I was impressed that the CALCLEAR washes clothes beautifully in cold bore water. I don’t have to use a softener like Comfort. Towels are a good indicator – they were never soft like this with our old water softener. – they were like metal, hard and scratchy.

Also the garden has done very well. The water absorbs into the ground better and the Calcium doesn’t lie round on the ground or on the plants. Without the Calclear the leaves would go brown and burn. The horse trough still gets some sediment but not the scum on the top or edges

Home application: Two months after the CALCLEAR Unit was fitted, the Solar Hot Water System needed replacing – the CALCLEAR had removed all the scale causing it to leak! After replacing the hot water system and fitting a CALCLEAR it is in great condition and sure to last a long time.

Now we are happy to say we don’t have all the scale build up on the showers and toilets and the water is softer. Our evaporative air conditioner has very little build up of scale on the pads after two years and we would normally throw them away after that time.

We’ve also noticed we don’t have to water our plants and trees as much. Our lawns and trees look a lot healthier and greener and the watering is more effective as the ground stays wetter when our town water supply is treated with CALCLEAR.

Commercial Applications –

We have been fitting the CALCLEAR units around the Alice Springs area for about 3 years.. Most were fitted to Combi Ovens  (Convotherm) which normally had a lot of Calcium build up resulting in probes and elements being replaced every 3-4 months. This disappeared after the CALCLEAR units were fitted. The ovens did not need such heavy maintenance costs, downtime was cut back and ovens did not need the replacement of parts affected by scale.

Examples of Installations in Alice Springs Area:

• Kings Canyon Resort– CALCLEAR used initially on glass-washer. Within 2 weeks all Calcium scale removed. Everything washes so much cleaner ever since.
• Ayers Rock Resort– In Flight Catering Kitchen – installed 2 years ago Installed Hobart Dishwasher and Convotherm Combi Ovens. Clear of scale and saving in maintenance costs since CALCLEAR used.
• Alice Springs Resort – Installed January  – Convotherm Combi oven with CALCLEAR unit – scale not occurring.
• Batchelor College, Alice Springs – Combi oven and CALCEAR have been on there for three years. No problems – the Combi oven looks like new

Since we installed the Calclear Digital water conditioner at our Tindal Estate residence we have noticed that the lime deposits on the glass of the shower recess has all but disappeared and that the faint residue present now is easily removed with a quick wipe of a damp cloth . The shower rose is free of lime deposits and hair washing no longer presents a problem as the water seems much softer and the soap and shampoo lather and foam readily .

Outside the irrigation system is free of lime scale with no blockages in the dripper or sprinkler units , which saves time and money not having to acid de-scale the system . Once I dislodged the power plug to the unit without knowing and in a few days noticed lime deposits on the grass from the sprinklers in the stock paddock.  I reconnected the power and in a few more days the deposits were gone .

We have gone from being very skeptical about the Calclear Computerised Water Conditioners to being very satisfied with the performance of ours . One of the great features of the units is the ease of installation .

My Calclear unit is the smallest of the range that was available at the time. I only had it treating the water to the dishwasher and shower recess .

The results are much better than I had expected, a great reduction in lime stain / marking on the glass shower recess and much the same in the dishwasher . A good investment with no maintenance .

Our bore water had high salt levels which caused rusty coloured staining in our toilets and plumbing. We were of course dubious about the Calclear Unit but we wanted to treat the staining. We can thoroughly recommend it. Now we can use our bore water whereas before we had to use our rainwater tank. As soon as we put it on the water was completely different. It looked and tasted different for a start and all the staining has gone.

Before using the Calclear Water Conditioner  we were always struggling with water. I can’t remember when we ever had our 25,000 rainwater tank full before!

 My laundry detergent is more effective, the clothes are washing better. There are no stains on the clothes from the water since installing the unit but my neighbours still have those problems. The water feels different- much softer- and my hair feels cleaner; even the washing up liquid froths better.
